The Silver 3 is the smallest and least expensive pair from the new Silver Series line from Monitor Audio. They retail for $599 a pair and use a 5-1/4" woofer along with a 1" gold dome tweeter. I have the Silver 5i's, the big brothers to your 3i's. Right now they are my main listening speakers, paired with the MA FB210 sub. These older Monitor Audio speakers are of very high quality and were made in Britain back in 2001. They have subsequently shifted manufacturing to China. They do require a bit of power with only 89db of sensitivity.

Currently i have a set of tannoy mx2 and a wharfedale 8.1 but i've ordered the MA silver 3i from hifibitz and going to use either the tannoy or wharfedale as rears. My centre is a mission m7c1. I know i should use same model for all the speakers but i can't afford an MA centre.
