Set the ingame hardware acceleration for audio to software, and set the wine audio for Morrowind.exe to 22050hz with a 16 bit sample size. That helped the audio skipping alot. My first suggestion would be that you: 1) Set up a 32 bit chroot as described in the wiki. 2) Set up WINE within the 32 bit chroot. 3) Set up your graphic adapter as described in the wiki. Then ensure that opengl runs hardware accelerated. Those seem to be the prerequisites for further experiments with WINE and 3D games.
