In order for Cyberlink Audio Decoder to work it should be the only audio decoder actively used. So the solution can really be both ways... getting dxva to work with PowerDVD or getting the filter to work with MPC-HC (although I prefer the latter solution). Hoping for some suggestions, thanks! Actually, I'm kind of embarassed that I didn't think to do this sooner; I've used decoders by opening them out of folders instead of some software list before, most notably with MPC's decoder, and I tried doing it on the specific file for the cyberlink audio decoder, but it didn't have any of the extras like dolby headphone.

Open up MPC-HC and add the "Cyberlink Audio Decoder (PDVD10)" filter as per the first post. Double click it and you should be able to select "Dolby Headphone" under "Output Mode". If anyone knows how to actually get MPC-HC to use the filter, please let me know

1) Open MPC and View-> Options. You can press the letter O to enter Options. 2) Internal Filters. Here you want to disable AC3/DTS Transform Filters. 3) Internal Filters-> External Filters. Add Filter...Look for Cyberlink Audio Decoder (PDVD10), select it and press ok. On the right, select Prefer. 4) Press Ok to exit the Options Menu.

you don't need ffdshow any more with cyberlink audio decoder PDVD13, it can work with AC3 audio, i tray it witch MPC-HC and it worked perfectly and the option stick also, but don't forget to put all the necessary file in your codec folder ...
