Hi, You have two options. A) Demux stream in Mpeg Streamclip or similar convert ac3 audio to wav, aiff or somthing more editable, import the separated streams in final cut and put together in secuence, the mpeg2 video will be recode depends setings of your secuence. I import a video file to FCP. It's a multiplexed MPEG -1/2, a scene filmed with a video camera. When I play it with VLC, it's working fine, but in FCP the sound is not working at all. This, unlike the no audio in mpeg 2 issue, is an actual bug. I went out to the website for the product though and found they had an update for Vegas 9. It upgraded the product to version 9.0b (Build 66), and once I upgraded to 9.0b it all started working.

2/ Directly export from your FCP timeline into Compressor.
