Rendering MPEG-2 with premuxed MPEG-1 Audio for DVD creation is soooo old-school. With AC3, you get better quality, surround sound, multiple audio tracks (with DVDA Professional), and the ability to replace an audio track in your dvd project without re-encoding the whole darned video, which is a huge timesaver.

Hi I have Movie Studio Platinum 13 Build 932. If I import an mpeg 2 movie with 48kHz mpeg layer 2 audio track it plays fine in preview - with sound - and will render and play fine - with sound as an MP4 file BUT if I make an mpeg movie it has video but no audio track.

MPG files - I have only sound, no picture. I have downloaded a number of mpeg files and I want to create a movie. Unfortunately, I can only hear the sound and I see no pictures.
