So I just figured out how to do it. under mplayer osx go to preferences > click advanced tab. then check the box for additional parameters and type in -delay. put a space in after delay and then enter the amount of seconds you want to delay the audio. a positive number will delay the video where a negative will delay the sound.

Hi, I compiled the latest version of MPlayer(v1.0pre7try2) from source. And I downloaded the codecs from the MPlayer website, too. Everything works as expected except this small irritation. When I play a rmvb file, and try to fast-forward it with the "Page Up" button, the audio and video start to go out of sync and never come back.
