MSI can record the desktop, if you have Afterburner and the OSD running in the taskbar too (MSI as the icon like a plane, OSD has the fps on it too usually but is the same), then just hitting the record keys from desktop will record though it won't show the on screen display as there's no 3D application to place it in.

Closed 7 years ago. I recorded some gameplay with MSI afterburner, and I got the video clip, and game audio, but no mic audio. I purposefully unchecked the feature that mixes in mic audio as it mutes the game audio and just sounds bad whenever I talk. I planned to add in the mic audio later in After Effects, but alas I can't even find the file.

What he meant is that afterburner is probably recording the wrong window. Since pcsx2 is a multi-window application in one process this might be the problem. There is a -nogui flag that allows to start a game without the main window. I think this could solve your problem. Just have a search for nogui in this forum. ZeroGS is not updated anymore.
