You will need to create a null sink in pulseaudio on STREAMER. This basically confirms that it isn't a pulse issue, as its apparently working fine in that scenario. If it REALLY is pulse + mumble + steam then mumble seems to use it in some seriously wonky ways for such a regression to occur REAL EDIT

It seems that Mumble requests a very low latency from PulseAudio, resulting in very high CPU load. The PA process eats around 15% and Mumble 10% (+/- 3%). That's at idle and without pressing the PushToTalk key. The CPU is an i5 2500K running at 4GHz. Also, only Mumble is using the PA daemon.
