If mythtranscode moves the 'correct' stream to the second position, the rest of the script fails. I can quite easily rewrite my script to have mythtranscode take out any audio streams I do not want or need, but this adds time and cpu cycles to the operation. I am trying to do a large number of recordings, hence the script.

The audio track auto-selection code exists because we used to use the first track and that consistently resulted in the wrong audio being played for many. What I've recently implemented in Master (0.27pre) for videos and 0.25/0.26 for DVDs is filtering of commentary (et al) tracks when performing auto-selection for containers where this information is stored.
