    Had the same problem...SOLVED. I play Netflix through an Nvidia Shield. Went into the shield advanced audio settings and 5.1 was checked. Changed it to High Quality Stereo and the problem is now fixed! So I don't think it's a Netflix problem. It has to be in your audio settings on whatever device you are watching it through.
