Follow the instructions provided with the cable and install the driver before you plug the easyCap into the computers USB port. Once the drivers are installed attach the adapter and install the software. From the camcorder, make sure the red to red and white to white. Then set the Windows default audio recording to Easycap audio. Hopefully that will do the trick. My Easycap card is similar to the one shown but it doesn't plug directly to USB, it is "in line" with USB and Line In output cords.
