I just started trying to use my black macbook ( 2.4 intel core 2 duo) to record video and audio with the isight camera in imovie... The video is fine, but i cant seem to hear anything on playback and it looks as if no sound was recorded.

I have a 2006 MacBook and a FireWire external iSight, it works fine with Skype and iChat. With FaceTime, the video works fine but there is no way I can select the sound input to be from the iSight. I have only two options: Line-in or internal mic.

Can't find iSight settings in Preferences, nor in Prefs for any programs that use it (PhotoBooth, iMovie, iChat, FaceTime, you name it). No apps listed in Finder for the iSight camera. iMovie Help says after "opening the privacy shutter" and switching from the edit to the camera icon, to click on the icon and choose "iSight" from the pop-up menu.
