Start the Windows 7 guest, then go to realtek.com and download the driver program from there. Here is a link but man is it long. I'll shorten it for you AC97 drivers. Then run it in Windows 7. Reboot and then be sure to tell Windows to check for updates (force it if it says there are none or the sound could be low).

Under v6.1.22 the audio works for all three guests, albeit with the repeating / echoing audio which others have reported. If I update to any version from v6.1.24 through v6.1.30, the audio in the Windows XP guest works OK, but there is no audio on my Windows 7 and Windows 10 guests. logs from 6.1.22 and 6.1.30 attached.
