No sound in Ubuntu 10.10. Ask Question Asked 11 years, 2 months ago. Active 9 years, 10 months ago. Viewed 10k times 3 1. I'm not able to hear any sounds from my PC after installing Ubuntu 10.10. Videos and mp3 files are all playing but no sound comes out of my PC. I formatted my previous Ubuntu 9.04 and did a clean install of Ubuntu 10.10.
