As far as transfering files from the card, we've tried two things. Just copying the .MTS files, and doing a copy paste of the entire directory structure. Premiere Pro does seem to do slightly better when we copy the entire structure. However, Premiere Pro still can't import the sound when using file-import.

If audio is showing in Premiere, then there's nothing wrong with the camera or card. Seems the issue is with Windows/Windows Media Player. You can download freeware "VLC Media Player" and should play the files with no problem, then set it as default media player for mts files. Or update the codecs for Windows Media Player/download a codec pack.

Software works great side from turning 1.5GB files into massive 11gb files. Like I said this is last I checked and I no longer use .MTS and to my knowledge the codec is no longer used in any current camera systems. Edit: Try a software called Rewrap that saves you having to transcode the files and just changes the delivery container.
