After installing the XBMC 12.3 update I lost audio output. I am using HDMI audio on my NVIDIA GFX card for audio output, and the output device was HDA Nvidia, HDMI #4 (i also got #1 - #3) on XBMC 12.2. After installing 12.3 i only got HDA Nvidia, HDMI #1 - #3, #4 is gone.

Don't know of this is an issue in the pc version of xbmc, but on my raspberry pi version there is a known issue with hdmi sound and the audio engine option. If the audio engine option is selected it, for some reason, makes the hdmi option disappear and you can only select analog and optical. Which for me gave me no sound at all.

I have tried speaker-test, alsamixer is at maximum of everything, AutoMute disabled, xbmc recognizes (on System -> Settings -> Audio Output) Audio Output Device : Playback/recording through the PulseAudio sound s... (There are no other options). I have tried also to turn off navigation sound (which i never heard) but someone posted it works.

Well there's some sort of Intel driver, as there is an entry containing Intel® listed in the Device Manager and that's what seen against the TV device in Sound - Playback, so I guess that's the HDMI. So have you got anything in XBMC audio settings containing either HDMI, or 32LG500, or Intel® in the scroll list for Audio Output Device.

In Device Manager, all audio devices reported working. No available devices listed under SOUND. I also has an KVM switch with Audio. So I have a USB Audio in Device Manager too. However, under Sound there is no device listed. I think the issue is not audio driver since both Intel and USB audio show fine in Device Manager but not in Sound setting.
