When I used TMPGEnc more, I loaded the AVI file into VirtualDub, and with full audio processing, saved out the MP3 VBR audio as a WAV.Then I added the original AVI and the new WAV to TMPGEnc and encoded with them. AVIDemux should also work for that. Quite a few encoders have problems with VBR audio, probably because the length is difficult to judge.

Well Decompressing the Audio is a Lossless Proscess, There is No Quality loss when you decompress the audio and generally speaking Tmpgenc only Dislikes VBR Mp3 and AC3 audio of Which the AC3 audio can be decoded in Tmpgenc by Installing this:

DVD. Have tried different players but no sound. TMPGEnc sees the RMVB and WAV files OK and converts the RMVB to MPEG-2 no problem but still no sound. The resulting track has file extension M2V which implies that it has sound added. I have copied this from TMPGEnc forum but it didn't help me since the audio is already in WAV format.

The resulting avi plays fine (video and audio) in any application except my encoder, TMPGEnc Plus (the last version, 2.54). Audio is PCM. When I try to process the file using your recommended settings (or any settings for that matter), no sound is played through TMPGEnc. The audio level line is flat, the encoded file's video is good but no sound.
