Thanks. The way I had tried was to connect the HDMI out on the receiver to another HDMI input on my TV. So not sure if that counts as a ghost display, since its not active. The main HDMI input on the TV was connected to the GPU. Motherboard HDMI out > AV receiver AV receiver > TV (HDMI 2nd port) GPU > TV (HDMI 1st port)

hey i have 1080gtx connected to 2 monitors with DP, tv via hdmi and denon receiver via dp-hdmi adapter all in extended mode , i don't want the receiver to participate in the video only for audio purposes , but when i tried to disable it via the nvidia control panel it disables the audio as well. short story i want and hdmi output only for audio.
