If you want audio with HDMI you need to have a 2-pin digital audio cable between your motherboard/or soundcard and your GTS250. It's like a coax s/pdif that has to connect the audio to the hdmi stream. Hey as the title states i have a GTS 250 and want to run sound through the HDMI output to my Tv, Problem i'm facing is that in Navida control panel states " Your graphics card and Display are HDCP capable" but i have no option in playback even if i right click and select show hidden/disconnected devices. Some more help for the clueless - Does the S/PDIF plug into the GTS 250 wherin it is added to the video on the HDMI output or is it a separate sound output to the external AV system. If this latter is true then it becomes problematic as the AV system will see it as two seperate inputs that cannot be selected simultaneously?

Nvidia supports HDMI, why else would they put HDMI ports on their cards and give a DVI to HDMI adapter with the ones that dont :) Also haveing DVI and HDMI plugged in at the same time doesnt affect anything, I have a 1080p monitor connected via HDMI and a second monitor connected via DVI and the only thing I get is it only uses the DVI monitor during boot and once windows starts …
