I am getting audio drop outs in VLC, EMBY, and Kodi when playing TrueHD audio. It plays fine in Kodi as long as you don't have the passthrough enabled which is the default setting for TrueHD. Once you enable it then it has the same exact issue as all other players on the shield.

The issue: All nVidia drivers since version 355.60 (August 2015) have discontinued the ability to bitstream DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD audio formats, at least for the GTX 960 product Yep, I am apparently not allowed to have updated graphics drivers AND pass along audio in these formats to my new AVR to decode losslessly.

Issue: While playing TrueHD (Atmos) content on Shield Pro 2019 via Plex/Kodi, single audio pops can be heard. This can happen 10 minutes apart or longer and they seem completely random. Rewinding and going over the same portion of the video again does not replicate the issue.

Report Post. Any 4k movie I play through Plex/Kodi with True HD 7.1/DTS-HD MA seems to get audio dropouts and I can't figure out why. Its usually during loud parts but also heard in quiet parts as well. Originally I thought it might be network related but I am using wired ethernet and confirmed speeds using iperf at ~1gbps.
