Go to your Oblivion ini config file which should be in C:Documents\My Games\Oblivion\oblivion.ini. Make a quick backup copy somewhere else for safe keeping and then play around with the audio field settings: The setting 'fDefaultMusicVolume=0.2300' might change the music without affecting anything else.

Since I first played Oblivion my game stutters a lot when audio is enabled. I've already downloaded stutter remover and stutter remover audio fix with no improvement at all. Music Static/Popping Bug. I did a fresh install of the game a few days ago, and noticed a weird audio glitch that begins a few minutes into playing and then persists until the game is restarted. The music begins to break up a bit, to get static-y and poppy. Just the music, SFX and voice-over do not have any problems.
