Both Pis have been overclocked and are on the latest XBMC and Openelec versions. Any thoughts would be appreciated! The Wolfson card only mates to the Revision 2 Raspberry Pi - it's a different board layout to the earlier version - your 2 year old board will certainly be revision 1 and the other could also be a '1'.

If wolfson is supported by kernel, then it will be supported by xbmc. You should petition wolfson to submit a pull request to add support for their card to standard raspberry pi kernel. The hifiberry card is supported by kernel (and so raspbmc) so may be a better choice. There is a custom openelec build here that supports wolfson:

Just like your setup I am also using Raspberry B and Wolfson DAC and the audio output is really very good, certainly better that my Audio Research CD Player and DAC when playing hires (.44.1khz) files.
