I own a Harmon Kardon AVR 85 that has lots and lots of guts. The ONLY reason I’m purchasing another is because I bought a very good DVD deck and want to use the SACD outputs. The AVR 85 does not have the 5.1 jacks to allow this. If the Outlaw isn’t at least as good as the HK I’ll be sending it RIGHT BACK.

Aug 12, 2017. #1. I just installed an Outlaw Audio 5000 Amp with my AVR-X4100W Denon Receiver and it sounds better on stereo than multi channel option. My music cranks but now when I want to watch movies my surround sound does not appear to work right.

Finally decided to order one of these beauties for ourselves. The Outlaw 5000 is back and the sound is beautiful and we are very happy. Much clearer and warmer than the 3808ci by itself. As I said, my speakers are 4ohm so this amp is now driving all channels at 180wpc!!! If you have 4ohm speakers running on an AVR this amp is a no-brainer.
