The passthrough device is when XBMC doesn't decode the audio bitstream. It passes the audio information through to something downstream to decode and then convert to analog to put out to the speakers. First of all, thanks a ton for the XBMC image, stephan! It looks glorious and looks the like, too. However, I can’t get anything using AC3 to play through my receiver. Whereas the GUI sounds and decoding MP3’s work, whenever I try to play something with AC3, the receiver goes silent and can’t seem to find a signal.
