Most have found that you can (temporarily) get rid of it by changing the buffer size in the Playback Engine dialogue to something else, then switching it back.

I am using my Faderport (2018) on firmware 3.43 with pro tools 2020.3.0. The main play/pause button is not working as I expect - during playback if I hit that button it resets the cursor back to the starting position and restarts playback.I have to use the "stop" button to actually stop music from being played.
