12-21-2008, 09:42 AM. I bet this is the reason: Your games are not running at normal speed. You need 50 Frames per second (FPS) for PAL games (Europe), 60 FPS for NTCS games (America, Japan). If you like have 25 FPS with PAL game your game is running at 50% speed and thats why sound sounds so weird from time to time when game lags, fps drops, etc.

If your framerate is not maximum (60fps) then the audio will fuck up BADLY. There is no perfect "fix" for this other than getting a better CPU so you can run it full speed. You can try turning the audio mode to Async Mix in the Audio settings, but this can cause glitches of its own. It will stop the audio lag though.
