I bought this used like 6 years ago. It was in terrible shape, so I sanded it down and coated it in Duratex and added folding handles and casters. I also purchased a custom cover from Tuki Covers, which I am including. I believe the speaker inside is a 15” Black Widow but I …

Re: Modified Peavey FH-1 Clones here is a good and accurate set of dimensioned drawings for the FH-1. Best regards Moray James. PS: from discussions with those who have both used the FH-1 and built the FH-1 copy shown here I am told that the Klipsch K33E is a much better suited woofer providing more bass extension and smoother response than the original …

Hey guys! I came across this forum while trying to improve my PA system. Right now my highs and mids are handled by a pair of either Peavey PR15s or Kustom KPC12s (though the Kustom woofers were replaced with Peavey 12" woofers). The bass is handled by an old Peavey 215C "Precision Transducer"...

I just did a bit of measuring and then drew out the top view of FH-1 bin and measured the chamber dimensions. What I got was a 19 7/8 inch base for the motorboard and an internal depth of 17 1/8 inch. The height is 22.5 inch so the calculate volume without the woofer is 3829 cubic inches or 2.21 cubic feet.

Peavey FH1 or SP1 - The Klipsch Audio Community

Not a LaScala clone, sturdier build for one and the folding scheme is common. Both the FH-1 and LaScala bassbins owe heavily to the MGM Shearer horn of the 1930s. I put old K33's in mine and they DID measure down to 30 Hz in a small room, amazingly. I PEQ's the peak at 180 Hz and was good to go.

Possible to modify a Peavey FH-1? | Sound Forums

The FH1 is a short horn-hence the reason it does not go very low. There were different drivers used in those cabinets. The original ones were either eminance or CTS stamped frame drivers and later on they used the black widows. THe black widows are stronger units so that may be worth looking into.
