The subwoofer is also active in Direct Mode. Pure Direct applys no digital signal processing but the display is still on. Analog in Pure Direct seems to be the purist signal form. When I put my older vsx-23 in Pure Direct with an HDMI signal I still the subwoofer, but not with an analog connection. Weird.

Post title pretty much explains everything. I have a Pioneer VSX-921 that will only output sound in pure direct mode. So I can get sound out of my speakers but in PD I don't believe the crossover works and I definitely don't get any output over LFE to my sub. Looking for any suggestions someone might have.
