https://github.com/project64/project64/issues/1472
I removed all forced thread priorities from Project64 and Project64-Audio. In Project64-Audio, I removed a conditional Sleep(1) from inside a loop and put an unconditional Sleep(1) at the end of the function. CPU useage still increases a bit after CTRL+T > Esc. From 32% max to 44% max. I'm using Process Hacker to monitor CPU and Project64's ...

3. Before turning on PJ64, check you desktop properties and set your desktop to 16 bit. (This is a windows setting not PJ64) I have an Epox 8KHA+, Athlon 1700+, 512mb PC2100 DDR, and a GeF4 Ti4400, and until I switched to a 16 bit desktop PD still wouldn't play for me without chirping audio and jerky graphics.
Constant audio crackling PJ64 1.6 | EmuTalk.net

In PJ64 it has some terrible clipping issues but it also has annoying crackling sound that doesn't stop. I used various different sound plugins and the only thing that makes the sound smooth is enabling "Force Old Audio Sync" in Azimer's HLE Audio 0.56 wip 2 plugin in PJ64 1.6 (in 1.7 it won't work).

PJ64 randomly stops playing any Audio : project64
https://www.reddit.com/r/project64/comments/rk9du4/pj64_randomly_stops_playing_any_audio/
PJ64 randomly stops playing any Audio. When I start emulating a game on PJ64 (version 1.6), absolutely no audio is playing. This is weird, because just a few hours ago, PJ64 worked perfectly fine. Windows doesn't even detect PJ64 having any audio output.
Audio crackling w/ LoZ: OoT : project64
https://www.reddit.com/r/project64/comments/siczu8/audio_crackling_w_loz_oot/
Audio crackling w/ LoZ: OoT. I recently started using P64 to emulate N64 including LoZ: OoT with some initial success. The game performs well at the native N64 frame rate, but the audio seems to crackle nonstop in some areas, such as inside the great deku tree. I’m new to emulation, and I’ve tried all of the previous solutions including ...
N64 Sound Ripping?
https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-19636-post-429695.html
(02-29-2012, 01:52 AM) Tropicon Wrote: This might sound stupid but why not just use the sound test Project64's Audio Logging feature? I went and checked that, and it seems that using Audio Logging in PJ64 would result in everything being captured. This would make it very hard to extract sounds, since Background music is almost always playing.
