I believe for a dts audio cd to work, the cd player has to pass the cd's contents entirely untouched to the amp, the 360 player does not do this, it has to remix the audio to add in interface sound effects etc, so it will not be being passed as an untouched dts stream, rather a dts stream re-encoded into either a dolby or stereo stream I'm afraid.
