In terms of data, (no matter what's written on wiki :D) the PS3 can't output bitstream DSD signal through HDMI but "only" a converted PCM at 24bits/176.4kHz or 192kHz (depending of the settings) thanks to the Cell processor. SCE had to put that restriction because of its Sony music group.
