Hi @gayleshe,. Have you tried using either HDMI 2 or HDMI 3 inputs on the TV just to see if the problem does not occur ? This is a known issue with older model Sanyo TVs when using HDMI connections with certain devices.. The only known way around it is to cycle through the inputs as you are currently doing to get the audio to resume .

When we recently updated to a Hopper with sling, and two Joey's, the Joey connected to the Sanyo TV now gives me a message that please use audio 3 for dvi connection and I get no sound. I have checked HDMI cables they are OK. When I disconnect the cable and then plug it back in I get the sound.
