I then tried doing it via the Media Tool which almost worked. Meaning: split your seqeunce in two, play each half, take the offending one, split in half again, etc., until you find the offending segment or transition.

Isolate the offending clip by marking the sequence in to out, use "play in/out" and starting with the video monitor on the V1 track, narrow the marked region making it progressively smaller, until you home in on the problem clip. Move the video monitor up the video layers as necessary.

This is a hunch, but in my experience PMM Insufficient Media errors in audio are usually something where Media Composer is looking for a certain number of frames, but the number of frames is slightly different in the sequence. In your case my guess is this is being caused by MC adjusting the frame rate of your 50fps material in your 24fps sequence.

PMM_INSUFFICIENT MEDIA ERROR. I'm using MC 8.8 and am working with CANON c300 files. I did an AMA link and imported the audio files. The project settings are 1080p/24 as that is what I was told by the DP - the FPS was 24. Unfortunately, I did not check the FPS in the source browser.
