My review of the Polk Audio CS400 is not a casual one. I have spent 2 full months searching for the perfect center channel speaker and have an extremely critical ear. With the CS400i the clarity of voices in movies & music is crisp & clear. The 245 was great with my old speakers which was micro satalites. I recently upgraded my speakers form micro satalites to all Polk speakers RT600i for the front & RT35i for the rear surrounds with a PSW650 sub hoked up to a Onkyo TXDS 595.

Hey Randy, I've used several of Polk's centers and the CS400 (or CS400i) is the one I've been most impressed with, especially with vintage speaker setups. I've got two very minty ones that I use in two 5.1 setups with my Monitor 10Bs and my SDA 2BTLs as fronts and they blend beautifully and leave nothing to be desired.

The Cerwin also lacked. The Polk Audio 300 has by far the best sound quality of them all. The infinity Center was fairly good, though not as good as the Polk. This speaker is great for the money. I am in the process of upgrading my system, though the only speaker I am going to keep is my Polk Center.

Nonetheless, I saw a beautiful 12" cherry Polk Audio sub in warehouse deals, so I decided to sell the Yamaha parts and mate this center to the right series of timbre matched Polk Audio speakers. After some reading it seems only the RTI A series speakers are guaranteed to be timbre matched to this and the larger CSI A6.
