Polk has also cut a slant on one large face of the speaker, which is nice if, like me, you have this below the listener's ear in your setup. A nice feature for sure. If there is one fault of this speaker is that the cabinet is pretty big for a "small" center channel speaker.

I'm in the process of building a 5.1 system and chose the polk audio CSi5 for the center channel. The CSi5 compliments my RTi8's perfectly. Dialog is clear, and crisp. The CSi5 is a pretty hefty for center channel, but with an aftermarket speaker shelf, it looks right at home on top of a 60 inch sony. Build quality is solid and typical polk.

February 2008 edited February 2008. I believe the CSi5 is a better timber match with the RTi10's than the CSi3. I had both with the RTi10's and the CSi5 was much better IMO. Scott. Going price is about $100 for this center. About 2 years ago on Polk Audio's webpage for the R50, this was THE recommended matching center channel. Since then Polk has taken this recommendation chart off their web page. This center channel features two blue colored 5/14" drivers and one 1" soft dome tweeter.
