First, the Cs2 has a slightly higher Impedence, so it should in principle require less amplification. Second, the Csi3 is a little "brighter" than the Cs2, which many people consider to be a good thing. However, it all depends on the characteristics of what you have. If your fronts are considered bright, you might lean toward the Csi3.

29,100 Posts. #3 · Nov 30, 2010. I think the CSi3 and CSiA4 are pretty similar. The CSiA4 is the replacement for the CSi3 center. Same size drivers and Polk list the specs as the same. The CSiA4 might be a little better match for the RTiA5 towers but I bet the two centers are pretty close. A considerable upgrade would be the CSi5 or CSiA6.

The CSi5 is a step up from the CSi3 in sound quality. It's a prefect match for the RTi8's as well. I have the same setup you are considering and had a CSi3 in my system before I upgraded to the CSi5. It was worth the 200 extra dollars.
