The CSiA4 is the replacement for the CSi3 center. Same size drivers and Polk list the specs as the same. The CSiA4 might be a little better match for the RTiA5 towers but I bet the two centers are pretty close. A considerable upgrade would be the CSi5 or CSiA6. Nonetheless, I saw a beautiful 12" cherry Polk Audio sub in warehouse deals, so I decided to sell the Yamaha parts and mate this center to the right series of timbre matched Polk Audio speakers. After some reading it seems only the RTI A series speakers are guaranteed to be timbre matched to this and the larger CSI A6.

Again I'm not arguing that the CSiA6 would be the better choice for HT (having upgraded from the Csi3 to the CSi5 myself), only that it wouldn't be as bad as people claim using the A4 instead, as they share the same drivers as the A9 and the mid-range between the two speakers would timbre match more accurately together.

February 2008 edited February 2008. I believe the CSi5 is a better timber match with the RTi10's than the CSi3. I had both with the RTi10's and the CSi5 was much better IMO. Scott.
