Ok to me, I don't see the difference between the "new" Rti a9 and the RTi 12. They seem to look exactly the same. Has anybody heard the "new" 9's. The other thing I don't understand is I thought the LSi 15 & 25 were the top of the line stuff. Basically no comparison to the RTi 12. But there are price "wars" going on with these speakers.

If I didn't get an amp right away, would the denon x3000 be able to push enough through the RTi A9's (when in a 2.1 setup)? The specs say it is 105 wpc, or a maximum of 215 wpc. Or would the addition of an amp right away be that much better to start with a 2.0 system vs. no amp and a 2.1 system? Also, I'm open to any suggestions or input.

The specs for these speakers are identical on the Polk website (cabinet size slightly different). Obviously the 12's are older, is there a freshness factor at this $ level of speaker?
