No model indication on them, just a badge on the grill of one saying "Polk Audio", and the cups on the back say the same. They both have the serial #'s intact, can I tell the model from that? They have a 1" dome tweeter with rectangular plate and angled down leads (Peerless?), two 6" or 6.5" mids, and a 10" woofer (passive radiator?).

The Polk Audio Monitor 10's are great speakers, excellent balance and lovely tonality. Very enjoyable to listen to - they color the sound but in a pleasant, uplifting positive way. The type of speaker you could listen to for hours. I sold mine for $180, they were in mint shape (literally a 9.5/10) and had the peerless tweeter.

The 7B with the Peerless tweeter is far better than any of the Monitor 10 versions as it's more coherent from top to bottom. The 10 suffers from comb filtering because of the side by side drivers as well as being a bit too bass heavy. BTW, it's the 7C's that have the awful SL2000 tweeter. F1nut, Jul 17, 2017. #5.

Monitor 10's only the tweeter works well! I got some 10's from a guy. I thought they sounded very thin, but they were cheap. I took off the front of one of them, pushed on the bass speaker, hoping it would move the 6.5" speakers, nope. Checked both speakers, weight on the back is secure, I made sure they are wired in phase.

Anyone have experience with these or know how much they would be worth. They look awesome having a 10 inch woofer and to 6 1/2 inch woofers in the box.
