These polk monitor 10a speakers, built between 1979-1982 (as far as I know) are my first ever home audio purchase. Wow - Have to agree with other reviewers; I'm surprised to see reviews still around for these speakers. I bought a new pair of these back in '92 and loved them. After one year I traded them in on a pair of used SRS 3.1 TLs that I still have today. Polk needs to get back to the monitor style speakers of old.

Ive got the Polk Audio RTA-11T speakers, which are in essence the same drivers and all except in a tower configuration. Ive listened to many speakers over the years, (( these are from 1990 )) and havent been able to find anything at a reasonable price that can better them. No they arent perfect but a very respectable lower to mid priced speaker!

Slightly less bass but that trade off is worth it. Price wise $200 for the 10s is high. $125 for the 7s are a better deal if they are in excellent condition. Also be aware Polk Monitor woofers can seize up due to the poor quality of glue that was used. Both are nice not great speakers. cubdog.
