Review: Polk Audio Monitor 5jr Monitor. I got these used for $135 a pair. They were my first "real" hifi speakers, and I still love them. Position them for bass reinforcement and they are surprisingly nice on the low end. The two way design with decent tweeter make for good sound. Go for it.-Charlie

A pair of Polk Monitor 10 with upgraded crossover caps (and some other mods), being driven by a good strong receiver or amp, is a wonderful thing. I spent some time with the Polk Monitor 5Jr > the treble is crisp and also, I felt the midrange was somewhat weak, plus the bass somewhat lacking. I think, that I like them better than the current Polk Monitors. Enjoy your speakers - and have fun.
