Out of your two options, Id take the Polks. Ive used Infinity Reference speakers before but found them to be too bright for my tastes. i've had various models of both, infinity isn't even CLOSE to comparison with polk. polk audio is vastly better, infinity is barely a step above stock in most cases. I've competed and won any many competitions with polk DB and db'2 as my mains.

The infinitys a bright/clear highs where as the polks have a more balance/mellow sound. If you are worried about the midbass lacking froim the infinity's ( a single 10/12 can make up for that ), the reference or kappas are the way to go. Also being that the infinity's are 2ohms, its like you doubling the power compared to 4ohm polk. :thumbsdow

Also i've been more impressed with Polks amped than Infinitys. Infinitys seem to delicate while the Polks can take a pounding and still sound good. My first set of speakers were Polks and they did well for my young "SQ-immature" needs, lots of midbass and mids. If you can the polk/momo's are nice speakers also.

I was looking at the Polk MM652, MM692 (without headphones), Infinity kappa 60.11CS, 693.11I, JBL Stadium GTO620, GT0930, or the JBL GTO609C, GTO939. I think getting the JBL GTO609C and GTO939 would be the best bet because it is almost the same as the JBL Stadium GTO620 and GT0930 but $130 cheaper and components for the 6.5".
