Thanks for sharing. I had a hard time looking for the manual online. My 1st speaker system purchased are Polk Audio RM3000. I aquired a 2nd RM1000W and needed to find out how to add it to the system. System sounds great with one sub. But with 2, it should sound even better.

The original specs for the RM3000 claim they cross over at 100hz, 88db/w sensitivity, sats are sealed enclosures, 8 ohm impedance. Since you have no control of that sub's output relative to the mains (aside from placement nearer or further from walls/corners), you want to make sure whatever sats you choose are very close to those specs.

Thanks for any help on this, but Polk has no technical information for these products anymore. PS Big Polk fan, I have some RM6's as well. I have been running my RM3000 Reference Monitor setup for 20 years now (Polk and this series started the whole revolution towards subs/sats) and I have a Proton D540 driving the train.

The RM1000 was the bass module that was part of the RM3000 satellite/woofer system. The satellites were called the RM2000 II and when combined with the RM1000 you had the RM3000 system. The RM1000 was made available as a separate unit for owners who preferred two bass modules, from 1990 until 1995 and had a suggested retail price of $390.00 each.
