Polk SL1000, SL2000 Tweeter vs SL2500. The original Polk SL1000 tweeter had an aluminum faceplate. That tweeter is no longer available. Instead Polk offers a black faceplate tweeter. They used the faceplate from the SL2500 and the dome from the SL2000 to make a replacement tweeter that is suggested for both the SL1000 and SL2000 models.

The upgrade (much better) tweeter direct from Polk is the RDO-194. And the midwoofer Mw-6503, Polk still carries as well I think. Also, have you tested the tweeter and midwoofer with a multimeter to make sure they are blown and its not a crossover issue? EDIT: Dave, I thought the 194 was the direct replacement.

@ kunwar.g: Polk seems the best in your list. Except IC122 all Speakers are having good continuous rms handling ratings. Go for the Polk if budget is not an issue. If you're a treble ( high frequency ) lover than go for the co-ax in front also. you can use the stock tweeter with co-ax. So there will be 4 tweeters & 2 types on front also.
