With arecord and a mmap-emulating device asi1: arecord --format=cd --device=asi1 --mmap --file-type wav --duration=3 test.wav I get lots of dropped audio frames resulting in garbled output, while the recording takes much longer than the expected 3 seconds, and with PortAudio everything appears to work, but no audio is actually recorded.
