I have Skype for Linux Beta installed on a Dell Latitudes laptop. It operates with Linux Mint 18.1 "Serena". After installation the video components worked, and the audio output worked (I could hear my contacts speaking). But no audio input was registered. In other words they couldn't hear me.

I am using Skype for Linux 8.12.76.2 and using default PulseAudio. The problem is, no matter where I call i.e. Echo test or anyone on my contact list, Skype to Skype call is breaking, breaking really really bad. Skype audio (input and output) works correctly only when PC starts, but after using another audio tool/program, like vlc, youtube, Skype audio stop working. Only Skype audio, all other audio opplications continue working. Running Skype from shell doesn't help, no errors in the output. Can anyone help me?

The sound works great in Ubuntu. I'm listening to CD's and MP3s all the time while I'm working. It's just not working in Skype. The microphone also works fine. I tested it using the voice recorder feature that comes standard with Ubuntnu. It's also not working in Skype... Just Skype won't work.
