Stutter in all games - Project64 Forums
http://forum.pj64-emu.com/showthread.php?t=7266
I have a weird issue with Project64 2.3.2.202, all the games seems to stutter, they aren't smooth. The framerate is always 50 for PAL and 60 for NTSC, and I have no audio issue, but no matter what settings and plugins I use, I still have this weird stutter problem with all my games. I haven't played N64 for a while before today, I don't really know how it was before on …

I got Project 64 on my computer a few days ago to play Super Smash Bros. Unfortunately, it is running very slow and the audio is distorted, stuttering, and choppy. I am suspecting it is a problem with my computer, but I want to check to be sure. Here is a list of things I have tried: Attempt: Turned off/on the FPS limiter

:pj64: Project 64 is, by far, one of the most comprehensive emulators out there. Also, it is the only one I've found that has surpassed beta stage. It is also one of the few emulators that runs both Zelda games, Mario 64, Star Fox, and Mortal Kombat 4 on my machine without a hitch. However...

If you do not know what the Angrylion plugin is, its pretty much a pixel accurate N64 plugin. What I don't get is that it moves very smoothly and the way it should. But the problem is the sound stutters a lot for no particular reason at all.

AmbientMalice commented on May 4, 2015. This will be fixed when dynamic Fixed Audio Timing is enabled for all appropriate games. (Which is a vast majority of them, IMO.) Azimer has fixed the broken FAT behavior of 2.x, but a few games crackle with Jabo now. Azimer seems to work much better.

Project64 fullscreen audio issues. Solved. Hey everybody. I'm using project 64 2.3.2.202. Video Plugin is GlideN64 Public Release 4.0. Audio plugin is either Jabo's 1.7.0.7 or Azimers HLE Audio v0.56 WIP2. Everything works fine if I run it in a window. However I'm running it off a pc to a TV so I'd like to play it fullscreen.

Stuttering in menus in N64 games is pretty unavoidable, even on overclocked rigs. Try mupen64plus-gluden64 instead of lr-mupen64, the speed is often better. The secret to N64 emulation on the pi is knowing which driver to use for each game. Also Reicast is pretty obsolete at this point I think.
