Listening to the GCA-100 fresh out of the box is as much fun as poking Christmas trees in your ears. PS recommend that you give their new amps 200+ hours of break-in before you listen seriously. This is going to be rough. After 100-or-so hours I try again.

Reviews to the GCC have been mixed, but I believe differences in opinion are caused more by the amp section than the gain cell. ... Before I read what you had to say, I thought that the PS Audio GCC-100 might be the way I want to go, but upon reflection I think I might lean more towards the Bel Canto eVo i Gen II...or some other integrated amp ...

The PS Audio GCC-100 smoothes out i-tunes, but doesn't deliver quite as much subtle textural differentiation on CD's. Both amplifiers have excellent lateral focus and equally large soundstages. On i-tunes I noticed no difference in depth recreation, but on CDs the S-300 presents a slightly more three-dimensional rendition.

PS Audio just stopped making the GCC series, and the new smaller trio series is nice, but not the same. If I ever decide to set up a second system , I'll be kicking myself for selling this thing, (cost, size, balanced and transparency make it a winner) but I'm trying to raise cash for a very costly speaker upgrade.

The PS Audio Amp runs Really Cool Not like Class A Amps or even Class A/B Amps. I Owned A PS Audio HCA-2 Amp and it was great, but the GCA-250 Blows it away it is not even in the same Class.
