It is not the SC version hense the sale price. It does have the removable ground pin. I had just purchased a PS HCA amplifier and Paul (owner of PS Audio) recomended a after market cable to use with the HCA. Results were stunning. Resolution,Soundstage came to life. In conclusion I now have 3 PS power cords. 1 Plus, 2 Preludes.

I currently own four PS Audio cables; Two Preludes, one Plus, and one Power Punch. This review is about the Prelude, but the Plus is generally more of the same. So - How do they sound. Mostly the Prelude is very dynamic and lively. All PS Audio cables definitely have more of a "power punch" than almost all competing products.

Some of my first power cords were PS Audio. I started with a Prelude which was a half decent cord for the money, and later moved "up" to the Statement you are referring to. It definitely was not worth the money, and didn't live up to any of the hype.

FWIW I recently upgraded the power conditions that I use for my monoblocks (cj P12's that have hard attached rather ordinary power cords) from PS Audio Ultimate Outlets (now discontinued) to the new PS Audio UPC-200. Music Direct had a deal on it where you got a free PS Audio XStream Plus power cord with it so of course I took it.
