I was still remembering the pre-delivery press concerning the SACD capability. In looking at the pcm specs it only does 44.1 and 48K. That would mean to me that only redbook cds would be played with the internal chip sets and it would not convert SACD at all. There is no mention of it on the Sony PS3 audio specs current site.
